"Along the Kitchissippi River I found this piece of board that had been shaped for decades by the currents and the rocks. when I dried it it was almost as light as cardboard. A very old piece indeed. Maybe from the old days of sawmills in Ottawa. Its shape immediately reminded me of a fish. one of the largest and most abundant fish on the Ottawa river system is a Muskie - so I choose that to depict."
