"The picture I used in the middle of this piece is the first image humankind has taken of a black hole. I used the high resolution image taken in April of 2019 by the Event Horizon Telescope. The EHT is a collaboration of radio astronomers from around the world. These teams of scientists obtained an image of the black hole at the centre of the galaxy M87, located about 55 million light years from Earth."
