She says “Recently I have explored abstract paintings that are landscapes of the mind. As with my previous work, these paintings are grounded in my personal experiences of observing and immersing myself in nature. They are a logical progression from a focus on the land to a focus on the elements of water and wind. Influenced by cycles of rebirth in nature as well as revisiting my past experiences of painting abstractly, they are both personal and environmental. ”
