1961 pen and wash 10 X 13 In. This piece is mounted in an archival frame. (18X21 in.)
Trottier’s broad stroke ink wash works were inspired in part by his experience in Paris in 1953 where he was struck by the power and effect that street graffiti had on him. These ink and wash works do not try to duplicate the Paris graffiti he saw but provoked the strength of symbol and graphic form that struck him at that time.
