If you haven’t had a chance to see Russell Yuristy’s exhibition of iconic Canadian scenery, drop by 1285 Wellington West for our open studio this weekend. After this weekend the rest of the show is by appointment only! These works epitomize Yuristy’s passionate and enduring love of nature - trees, fish, animals and birds. An internationally recognized printmaker, painter and sculptor, Yuristy originally hails from the Saskatchewan art scene, but has made Ottawa his home for several decades.  

Born in 1936, Yuristy’s work can be found in the National Gallery of Canada, as well as the Ottawa Art Gallery, City of Ottawa Art Collection, Canada Council Art Bank, Mendel Art Gallery and Mackenzie Art Gallery.

Russell Yuristy now living in Ottawa, is a master printmaker and painter whose works are based on the land and animal life around him. Born in 1936, and raised on a farm in Saskatchewan, Yuristy draws inspiration from his rural roots. He was inducted as a member of the Royal Canadian Academy of Arts in 2014. His works can be found at the Ottawa Art Gallery, National Gallery of Canada, Canada Council Art Bank, Mendel Art Gallery, and the MacKenzie Art Gallery
