Ottawa based artist Clara Kim was born in South Korea. She has been influenced by both ancient Korean arts and contemporary western sensibilities. She paints with a firm yet elegant knife stroke, creating a confident line that breathes life into the picture. The background are a mix of acrylic paint and gel medium that resembles traditional Korean paper or clothing.
