"During the first wave of the pandemic we visited Round Lake for a safe visit. At that time Comet NeoWise was in the night sky. In that dark sky environment it put on a real show. In the painting, which is to scale, you can see a part of the Big Dipper. I wanted to also include a piece of Quartz into the painting to honour this visitor of ice and rock."
