with Marc Brzustowski and Mark Seabrook, two painters and fellow travelers living on Manitoulin Island.
For a 360 degree view see this link

Mark Seabrook is a gifted Ojibwe spirit painter, teacher, poet, writer, performer, and playwright.  He paints quickly, driven to record, again and again, bold images and symbols that speak eloquently of his Ojibwe heritage. He finds inspiration by wandering through the countryside of northern Quebec.

Marc Andre Brzustowski is a painter of landscapes, who sets up his easel plein air, the way the french impressionists and Group of Seven did. He feels that no interior studio work is ever as good as engaging directly with the immediate; the wind, sun and light playing across an ever changing landscape.

As a part of this year's Festival X we feature Marc Andre Brzustowski's "paintograms".  Mark's show consists of black and white photos followed by a painted interpretation he calls a paintogram. The paintograms highlight and contrast the difference between the photographic view point and the plein air or studio practice of painting.
